One of my proudest moments: an award for Excellence in Teaching from RISD-CE. |
While I worked as a freelance illustrator, I did many school residencies in Rhode Island through the Rhode Island Council for the Arts.

More recently, I've worked as the adviser for the Children's Book Illustration certificate program at RISD-CE. I also teach CBI 2 and The Book Dummy. The students are adults, highly motivated, and a joy to work with.

Wow! Very impressive. I would love to do a Children's Book illustration course but there is nothing much available near where i live. Do you teach online?
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to say that I don't teach online. I do teach a 6 week summer class for credit at RISD in children's book illustration if you ever have a summer off. (we can dream, can't we?)
ReplyDeleteThe woman who teaches writing in our continuing ed. program is from Australia, Marlo Garnsworthy.Someday, I hope I get over to your neck of the woods.(I can dream, too).
